The MikroTik CRS504-4XQ-IN switch is specifically designed for data centres, ISPs, and modern infrastructures, delivering a 100 Gigabit networking capability. This high-speed feature is crucial for businesses managing increasing volumes of data and devices, ensuring rapid data transfer rates. With 100 Gigabit speeds, users benefit from reduced latency and faster access to services, enhancing tasks like large data uploads, streaming, and real-time communication. This capability allows data centres to manage servers more efficiently and ISPs to offer improved internet services. Additionally, businesses can establish efficient intra-office networks or private cloud setups.

Robust Internal Architecture

The switch features the QCA9531 chipset, operating on a single core at 650 MHz, and supported by 64 MB of RAM. This robust architecture ensures stable and reliable operation, vital for enterprises requiring uninterrupted connectivity. The 16 MB storage capacity efficiently handles firmware and updates, keeping the switch current and secure. Equipped with RouterOS Level 5, the device offers extensive networking capabilities, allowing network administrators to efficiently manage traffic, enforce security protocols, and optimize bandwidth distribution across diverse environments.

Adaptable Connection Options

The CRS504-4XQ-IN is notable for its four 100G QSFP28 ports, enabling seamless connections to other 100 Gigabit devices. With breakout cables, it can connect to several 25 Gigabit devices, with each 100G port capable of supporting four 25 Gigabit lines. This allows for the connection of up to 16 x 25 Gigabit devices, providing flexibility in network configurations, such as 100 Gigabit links on one port and 40 Gigabit on another. The switch's Ethernet port also facilitates efficient management, providing easy access to main functions and simplifying diagnostics, configurations, and maintenance.

Versatile Powering Options

The switch includes a dual hot-swappable PSU, allowing for installation and removal without disrupting server operations. It offers versatile power options to suit different scenarios:

- A conventional DC jack for a familiar power interface.

- A 2-pin terminal for a direct and robust connection, ideal for stable installations.

- Advanced 802.3bt PoE-in, which powers the switch and allows data transmission over a single cable, simplifying installations and reducing cable clutter.

- This flexibility ensures continuous operation in various deployments, including remote outdoor stations, temporary event setups, and critical infrastructure locations.
