The course is intended for network and system engineers administering medium to large networks, as well as for all IT professionals wishing to improve their knowledge of routing. To participate in this training, an MTCNA certificate is required, no other preliminary preparation is required, all the material is confidently assimilated thanks to the sequential presentation of the material according to the principle "from simple to difficult".

During the training, static routing and its subtleties are discussed in detail: distance parameter, more specific route, route activity conditions; ECMP (Equal-Cost Multi-Path) and features of the application of this technology for fault tolerance and traffic balancing, Policy Based Routing (PBR) and its extremely flexible and understandable implementation in MikroTik RouterOS. It is in this course that the features of working with several providers simultaneously for organizing a fault-tolerant Internet connection and balancing traffic are considered in maximum detail, as well as the use of recursive next-hop resolving technology to check the real availability of the Internet for the provider's equipment and switch to a backup channel in its absence.

Most of the course is devoted to dynamic routing based on the OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) protocol, which allows automated management of large networks of several hundred routers. The theory of the protocol and its application in practice are discussed in detail. After completing this training, you will confidently navigate the many abbreviations associated with OSPF: you will understand the difference between ABR and ASBR, the difference between an Area and an Autonomous System, you will learn why DR, BDR are needed and how external routes of types 1 and 2 differ from each other. and, of course, many interesting laboratory works await you, after which a complex theory will become understandable and accessible!

The final part of the course is devoted to the methods of organizing a VPN, different types of tunnels and their routing features. The implementation of VLAN in MikroTik RouterOS is also discussed in detail: both at the software level and at the level of the hardware switch-chip, thanks to which it is possible to significantly reduce the load on the CPU (as is the case with the software implementation of VLAN) and increase the throughput of the router.

The course also ends with a certification exam, after successfully passing which you will receive an international MTCRE certificate, which allows you to study further and participate in the only MTCINE (MikroTikCertified Inter-networking Engineer) level 3 training. Regardless of the results of passing the exam, the RouterOS L4 license is a gift!
